Not all steel is the same.

Not all steel targets are created equal. AR500 is a hardened abrasion resistant steel specifically engineered to handle the repeated impact of rifle and pistol rounds. It won't deform, pit out, or develop dangerous spalling the way mild steel does over time.

Our 18" gong is 3/8" thick. The sweet spot for handling everything from rimfire to centerfire rifle at appropriate distances while keeping the weight manageable in the field. You'll hear that satisfying GONG ring out every single time.

we ditched the chains. heres why.

This is one of the features we get the most questions about and for good reason. Traditional steel gong setups use chains or lightweight straps to hang the target. Chains eventually fatigue and snap. Cheap straps wear through from the constant swinging impact.

Kevlar, the same material used in body armor, doesn't do either of those things. It absorbs the shock, resists abrasion, and keeps working. If you've replaced chains or straps before, you understand immediately why we made this switch.

Sets up in 10 minutes.

We designed this system for people who actually go places to shoot. Public land, long range rifle ranges, 3 gun competitions, hunting camps, backcountry. The stand folds down compact, and between the carry handle, detachable shoulder strap, and gong carry strap, you can realistically haul this entire system by yourself without it being a miserable experience.

Setup takes roughly 10 minutes. That's not marketing language. We've filmed it. From the bag to fully deployed and ready to shoot.

Guns Gong Crazy portable AR500 steel gong target system in use at outdoor shooting range

only the best.

GunsGongCrazy is based out of Glenns Ferry, Idaho and yes, we shoot these systems ourselves. Every design decision on this product came from actual field use, real feedback from real sportsmen, and a genuine frustration with the compromises other target systems ask you to make.

This is the system we'd want to own. And it's the one we sell.
